Ballyhoura Apple Farm is located at Clashganniv outside Churchtown village in North Couty Cork. Maurice Gilbert is the full time owner/manager of Ballyhoura Apple Farm and is busy developing this exciting rural business by attending several farmers' markets throughout Munster weekly as well as working on new product development and marketing. The medium term ambition, subject to planning where required, is to restore the fine old stone farm buildings and develop the Apple Farm as a Visitor Centre.

Gerry Murphy, whose idea it was to create a "vineyard" in Churchtown but who had to settle for an Appleyard! "Without Maurice Gilbert's hard work and vision and without the strategic support of Ballyhoura Development / Leader there would be no apple farm", Gerry Murphy says. Gerry is a 50:50 partner with Maurice in Ballyhoura Apple Farm.
